May 8 (UPI) — The Gare du Nord in Paris reopened Tuesday after a security alert forced the evacuation of Europe’s busiest train station late Monday, officials said.

Armed police rushed passengers off trains and cleared platforms as they evacuated the the terminus of Eurostar trains from London.

No details on the operation were provided. The French newspaper Le Parisien reported that police were searching for three men described as “dangerous” to French security forces, according to the BBC.

A Eurostar spokeswoman said the incident did not appear to have any relation to its trains. The operation began after the last Eurostar arrivals and departures late Monday.

France remains under a state of emergency since the 2015 Paris attacks, when more than 100 people were killed.

Monday’s evacuation came one day after French voters decisively elected centrist Emmanuel Macron president.
