A trio of parties on Monday night demonstrated how diverse the fashion week social scene can be. First, Purple magazine held its customary dinner at the Standard, East Village, a familial gathering of veteran scenesters overseen by Olivier Zahm, the magazine’s editor and nightlife consigliere. Then Philipp Plein hosted an extravagant affair at the New York Public Library, with a V.I.P. dinner upstairs and a bigger party downstairs. And Humberto Leon of Opening Ceremony teamed with photographer Ryan McGinley for a one-night revival of B.East, a popular gay party, at its former location on East Broadway.
